If you’ve stumbled upon our humble abode, you are probably interested in getting something printed using the silkscreen process. Silkscreen is a printmaking technique in which ink is pulled through a stretched mesh cloth on a wooden or aluminium frame. We prepare the screen with your stencil on it (your image), which can then be printed on a variety of materials such as high-quality art papers, t-shirts, and fabrics. We are excited to work with you personally to realise your unique projects!
Why Choose Silkscreen?
Silkscreen is a very versatile medium. It allows artists to create beautiful handmade works with vibrant colours, either in small editions or large quantities, opening possibilities to the casual hobbyist, aspiring artist, or small business owner. A variety of materials can be printed on, including paper, fabric, wood, plastic — essentially anything with a flat surface. Our team at Raksasa Print Studio will help you to produce any kind of silkscreen project you can imagine: from Fine Art prints to one of a kind t-shirt designs.
Our inks from Permaset Aqua are water-based and are certified eco-friendly and soil friendly, meaning that they are completely safe to handle and are non-toxic. Our team also mixes all the colours by hand, which allows an endless possibility of colour choices. The inks are permanent and the vibrancy of the colours is long lasting.
When we produce a multi-coloured print, we print each colour layer at a time. This means that if you want 200 rainbow tote bags, we need to print the first colour, red, on all 200 tote bags before we can move onto the next colour. Despite this labour of love, we try and accommodate our customers with the best price possible. Still interested? Click here for examples of printing possibilities at Raksasa Print. (If you are interested in learning the process for yourself, we teach classes at our studio).
We have a standard turnover time of 3-5 business days from the day the deposit or agreement has been made. We are able to accommodate rush orders for an extra fee. For more complicated print jobs (such as large orders over 100 or multiple colours) we require up to a week to complete.
Payment and Pick Up/Delivery
We accept bank transfer, cheque deposit, and cash upon collection. We only accept cash at the studio at this time. We always require a deposit or full payment before we start printing.
Free delivery around the KLCC area can also be discussed.
